[The_Future]

I heard that not only does he have an iphone, but he can also watch Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End and Spiderman 3 on it, even though they're still in theaters. Which is what he was doing when he was spotted with the iphone and a newly freed Paris Hilton.

I know three words in the world of TR/NIN that will get a lot of readers a runnin' in this direction(in no particular order)....

Red
Girlfriend
Robe

Watch Out! They'll be beating down the doors.

I heard that Trent Reznor is pregnant, so check back soon for pics of his baby bump!

yawn.

Entertain me, please. Someone say something interesting or funny (besides me).

Currently Absorbing: THE FALLING MAN by DON DELILLO.

FYI - WHITE NOISE by DON DELILLO is, like, the best book EVER.

To disagree with me is to confirm your stupidity.

Posted by: Angelman | Jun 27, 2007 10:14:25 AM

Angelman, aren't you supposed to be Gabriel's wingman? I'm backing him up on this post. How about you?

Posted by: maise | Jun 27, 2007 10:42:45 AM

Fuck it.

Angelman flies SOLO.

Why do you hate Don Delillo, MAISE?!?!?!??

Posted by: Angelman | Jun 27, 2007 11:07:12 AM

White Noise is ok, but it can't hold a candle to about, oh... 500 other WAY BETTER books.

I just read Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast novels, and they fucking RULED ASS.

Posted by: Dierdre | Jun 27, 2007 11:33:47 AM

That's fucking bullshit, Dierdre. Maybe YOU JUST DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHITE NOISE because it is BRILLIANT. BEST BOOK EVER.

My taste is RIGHT, yours is questionable.

We seem to have reached that portion of the WTC cycle where Angelman makes very aggressive book recommendations.

Angelman's Book Club: Read It or DIE

Posted by: maise | Jun 27, 2007 1:31:16 PM

Actually, Angelman, I gotta agree with the ladies here. "White Noise" is pretty weak ass. Pedestrian even.

But that's cool if that's your thing.

Posted by: Gabriel | Jun 27, 2007 1:32:24 PM

Oh, and his novel "Underworld" was crap too.

The vampire movie that made off it was pretty dope, though.

Posted by: Gabriel | Jun 27, 2007 1:34:58 PM

That movie was stupid.
Excepting the few sex scenes. ^^

Posted by: | Jun 27, 2007 2:15:35 PM

Gabriel, I kinda agree with you on Underworld, in that it was kind of long and wind-y with not enough point to make it worth it but WHITE NOISE is a masterwork of post-modernism, intelligence and wit. Unrivaled. Stop reading pop-up books and you may see there is more out there that is challenging. Books on tape don't count, either.

Posted by: Angelman | Jun 27, 2007 3:03:24 PM

I've been reading "grown up" books since the days when most of our brethren weren't even bothering to read "The Scarlett Letter" when it it got assigned to them, so please excuse me if I snicker while your attempt to lecture me about reading intelligent books falls flat, tries to stand up, trips over its own two feet, and then falls down twelve flights of stairs only to end up impaled on its own dull incisors.

When did you sell your comic book collection again, exactly?

Posted by: Gabriel | Jun 27, 2007 3:12:02 PM

Maise/Gabriel - instead of doing this piece by piece should I just lay out how to be cool like me, I will tell you what your favorite books, meals and foods are...? What your political stance is, your view on God?

Dierdre needs my direction most desperately, but I would happily start with you two lost souls.

Posted by: Angelman | Jun 27, 2007 3:15:49 PM

Angelman, you've been postmodernly PWNED.

Posted by: maise | Jun 27, 2007 3:16:56 PM

Gabriel -

Judy Bloom and Beverly Cleary do not write "grown up books" - clear that shelf and I will fill it with smart stuff for 'lil Gabe-y Gabe.

Posted by: Gabriel | Jun 27, 2007 3:18:38 PM

That last post was Angelman, not Gabriel

Posted by: Angelman | Jun 27, 2007 3:19:04 PM

Much like "White Noise", Angelman's comeback skills when PWNED are overrated.

Posted by: Gabriel | Jun 27, 2007 3:19:04 PM

Having problems typing there, champ? Put down the Fantastic Four and look at the keyboard.

Posted by: Gabriel | Jun 27, 2007 3:20:03 PM

Instead of impersonating Gabriel badly, you should just admit that you've been PWNED and maybe go crying to Noam Chomsky.

Posted by: maise | Jun 27, 2007 3:20:24 PM

Maise -

PWNED? What, are you stealing Gabe's bits again? You are post modern pwnage for stealing from Gabe without knowing it.

Posted by: Angelman | Jun 27, 2007 3:21:45 PM

I think she got it from that same sweet issue of Green Lantern you got it from, Angelman.

Posted by: Gabriel | Jun 27, 2007 3:23:42 PM

Sorry, Elven lord Gabriel - stop humping your well-worn narnia chronicles and join me in grown up world.

Maise -

Chomsky? - Oh, so YOU ADMIT I READ REAL AUTHORS. Don't play with the big boys, little girl. lest you get PWNED.
