[Happy_Birthday,_Trent!]

Confetti, kazoos,
and dinosaur themed party
hats!  Oh My!  Why

this means a special
someone’s big day has arrived!
Happy Birthday, Trent!

Happy_birthday_trez

You turn 42
this year.  Here’s some fun facts in
case you didn’t know.

You are five hundred
and four months OR two thousand
one hundred ninety

one weeks old. You know
my Mom still refers to my
age this way.  Does yours?

You have now reached
the maximum enlistment
age for the Army

but since you're siding
with the Resistance it's not
really a problem.

Sadly there are no
confectionary items
that taste worth a damn

under fourty two
calories.  But splurge.  It’s your
birthday after all.

Hope Allesandro
sings you Happy Birthday in
his adorable

lady voice.  So cute!
Best wishes from the crew at
WTC.

Happy birthday to
the Tyrannosaurus Rez!
Fuck, I'm late for work!

More to come...

Posted by: maise | May 17, 2007 6:01:25 AM

See, now if he stopped playing "Hurt" live, Iris would never have had that pic to work with. ;)

Well done, by the way, Iris. Classic.

This is my first haiku
The meter will be whack, so
please be gentle, folks.

Happy Birthday, you
might approximately
be the mean age of

myself and my dad
but I would still make out with
you, you sexy beast

if you're not cool with
that it's okay, but you'll have
to endure me when

I shall hump your legs
like some pasty overweight
chihuahua, alright?

Posted by: RainbowVomit | May 17, 2007 7:47:10 AM

Okay, I'm at the
office. Trent would fire me
if he were my boss.

Now you are forty-
two. Don't panic 'cos it's your
Douglas Adams year.

Trent is the answer
to life, the universe, and
everything this year.

Posted by: maise | May 17, 2007 7:52:40 AM

I was waiting for
someone to mention Adams,
I love you maise, lots.

Posted by: RainbowVomit | May 17, 2007 8:52:44 AM

Wow. 42, eh?
Maybe now's a good time to
Stop dyeing your hair.

Posted by: Gabriel | May 17, 2007 9:28:03 AM

Hey, what happened to
Trent's hair in that pic? The front's
a bit uneven.

Posted by: maise | May 17, 2007 9:39:36 AM

The hair is how it
was in the original
Kerrang! article

picture that now I
frustratingly can not find
anywhere online.

Happy Birthday to,
You Trent,best wishes and
Please take care of

Yourself Ok? Cause
Today Is your day, so have
Fun, enjoy the day

Oh, by the way Trent
You look awesome with the hat,
Awesome work Iris

* My first haiku, sucks, but I thought it would be appropriate to write one, especially today.. :)

Posted by: Sapphire | May 17, 2007 11:34:02 AM

Happy Birthday Trent!

My gift to you is to NOT write a Poem or Haiku cuz I suck at writing them.

PS. Thank you Gabe...my thoughts exactly.

Posted by: Tessah | May 17, 2007 12:40:14 PM

Oh what joys do your
lovely band mates have in store
for your special day?
LOVE!!!

Posted by: Hannah | May 17, 2007 3:45:27 PM

Isn't it funny
How good ideas, when milked dry
Becoming boring dreck?

Posted by: Gabriel | May 17, 2007 6:18:36 PM

G and D think we're
Boring, so I'll keep it short.
Happy birthday, Trent.

It's no use to try
Being clever. I'm just too
Discouraged. Whatevs.

Posted by: emerald527 | May 17, 2007 7:41:12 PM

You actually just were really clever, Em. Thanks for the smile. :-)

Posted by: Gabriel | May 17, 2007 7:48:29 PM

Oh, Gabriel, please.
Hannah has written nothing
here but boring dreck.

You know it. I know
it. She and the rest know it.
And the Lord knows it.

Clap, readers--clap so
that WTC will
live. Like Tinkerbell.

Oh wait...we don't do
group clapping around here. Oh
well, it was a thought.

Posted by: maise | May 17, 2007 10:21:03 PM

Happy Birthday Trent
My yearly haiku for you
Can't wait 'till next year

Fuck you Gabriel
Just listen to your drivel
You think I'm boring?

Posted by: Lavender | May 17, 2007 11:58:57 PM

I like drinking beer.
I am one sexy mo fo.
I am also drunk.

Posted by: Angelman | May 18, 2007 12:03:10 AM

What drivel is that
Lav? The same drivel that has
You reading my site?

Today's point totals:
Lavendar: none to speak of.
Gabe: Ten. Whoops, you lose.

And Maise -- what the fuck?
I called Hannah out for her
sucking. No props here.

Posted by: Gabriel | May 18, 2007 1:06:46 AM

Oh back off Gabe, guys.
Pasty, fat, leg humping dog
analogies aren’t

entertaining. L,
are you really defending
that? Or Hannah’s post?

Ladies by all means
burn for Trent but kindly spare
the grosser details.

Now can we please talk
about this article and
how much it excites

me that he’ll soon be
out of contract and will have
more direct control

over the Nine Inch
Nails machine?!?! My suggestion?
A PIANO TOUR!

And what is boring
about a man who values
his fans not getting

ripped off. What other
band complains about their work
being overpriced?

Again with the pic
Trent's putting on his best scowl
that just seems to say:

“I’m going to get
you kids one of these days for
trespassing on my

lawn and don’t think I
didn’t notice the missing
garden gnome. Bastards.”

Damn. That’s a lot of
haiku. Tip: Always stretch first
lest you pull something.

Posted by: Iris | May 18, 2007 1:29:00 AM

I'll happily admit that I am far from entertaining. :D

Also a piano tour would be the best thing ever.

Posted by: RainbowVomit | May 18, 2007 3:51:56 AM

iris, your photoshop skills are wicked awesome.

Posted by: guru shabd | May 18, 2007 4:43:50 AM

AAH! great article. again with the angry old man face, but i have to say it works. works for me at least! but seriously. if there was a piano tour i might...i have no words for the sheer amount of excitement there would be...it would be amazing.

Posted by: guru shabd | May 18, 2007 4:51:15 AM

*sigh*, Gabriel. My
point is, Hannah is not clear
evidence that the

site sucks because
she has always sucked. We just
ignore her drivel.

Posted by: maise | May 18, 2007 5:56:12 AM

And I will comment on the article as soon as I stop sitting in front of the computer in my underwear, being late for work.

Posted by: maise | May 18, 2007 6:09:44 AM

Black Eyed Peas ARG! AWESOME!

Also, interesting to know, about the ARG, that the label didn't foot the bill. I'm still not convinced that it's much more than a strangely contradictory and very elaborate marketing ploy, and I'm still not terribly motivated to uncover all the minute details, and I still find the dystopian vision of it all to be a little obvious and on-the-nose for those of us with brains and who have been politically conscious for some time now -- in other words, those of us who aren't children with too much time on our hands -- AND, I still feel dismayed that something that is being touted as so integral to the goings on of the Empire of Dirt is so truly uninteresting to me, but... yeah... what was I saying?

Oh yeah. The ARG.
