[Dear_Trent_#_38]
Oh my darling Trent!
I'm sure, by this time, that you are wondering if I'm even ALIVE! What can I tell you, Sparklepants: I've been up to my ears in work, work, work, and now, look at what you've done! You've gone and given me HOURS upon HOURS of HOMEWORK to do to get ready for the next eruption of your volcanic genius. All I can say, you delicious, sweaty creature, is that I LOVE YOU AS MUCH AS EVER, and that even now I am delving deeper and deeper into your dark maze of dystopian paranoia, and I must say, baby, I am a little creeped out, which, uh... RULES!
Oh Trent! Would it be possible for me to overstate how thirsty I am for the sweet elixir that shoots forth from the fount of your aesthetic potency? No! Even if it burns my throat and scalds my very soul -- even if it's viscous, salty, and a little bad tasting -- I swear I will swallow it all. I mean, it's been a fairly short drought, really, considering the usual wait, but it's a thirst that never dies, just like my love for you.
I'm going to just go and get back to my homework, ok sweetness? You keep getting all sweaty in European venues, and I'll see your hott ass soon. Me, and all my peeps. That's right Trent: WEARING THESE CHAINS will be in full attendance. We will be armed with Haikus, and Gabriel will be totally gay for you, even if denies it, and claims to like girls now.
I love you!

D, I almost hate to ask, but have you heard the "leaked" song yet? Or are you waiting to hear it in its intended context--with the rest of the record?

I've heard it, OF COURSE!
It's TRENT, so I like it. I like his sexy spoken thing he has working for him... but, at the same time, I feel like I can't tell if I love it or not, since it's clearly part of a whole intention I don't know much about yet. So... I'm kind of waiting to comment, you know?

Survivalism, folks.
I like this one a lot, but I think I love "My Violent Heart" more so far.
For the gloominess of the subject matter, these songs are positively exhilerating-sounding. If it's up to Trent, the end of the world is really fucking exciting.
Although there's a part of me that misses the genuine joy of "All the Love in the World."
Always look on the bright side of life, Trent! Worse things happen at sea, you know! You come from nothing and go back to nothing...what have you lost? Nothing!

They played 'Survivalism' on the radio this morning. I got all excited and ran here thinking I might be the first to give a review...but I seem to forget that you guys are always a step ahead of me!
But yes, I like it, but cannot say yet that it is my favorite. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

This is going to be the death of me I swear it.

A cleaner version of "Survivalism" is available, folks. It sounds MUCH better this way. It's such a BUSY song. Who said this was minimalist, again?

Both songs are on their MySpace page
