No, not really.

What are you talking about? They're like identical.

Posted by: Gabriel | Feb 17, 2006 8:57:49 AM

Yeah_inasmuch_as_you_stole_this_style_from_them.

Posted by: maise | Feb 17, 2006 9:02:57 AM

Uh... right?

Posted by: Jane | Feb 17, 2006 9:10:50 AM

I'm sorry, Maise. I didn't mean to interrupt the exciting and engaging mix of Dead Silence, Book Reports, and Random Love Life Bleatings that WTC has become.

Silly me; posting a little bit of entertaining whimsy. I'm so stupid!

Fucktard.

Posted by: Gabriel | Feb 17, 2006 10:25:34 AM

Yeah, you're right. We were missing a pissy outburst.

Posted by: maise | Feb 17, 2006 11:31:42 AM

If only you HAD posted a bit of entertaining whimsy. That would have been awesome.

Posted by: Dierdre | Feb 17, 2006 11:32:22 AM

Looks like Dierdre obliged ya, Maise.

Posted by: Gabriel | Feb 17, 2006 11:45:58 AM

Gabriel, aren't you past due on your once-a-month blog entry for The Stankhole?

Posted by: Baal Glyttr | Feb 17, 2006 12:13:07 PM

Umm... no. *blink*

Posted by: Kim | Feb 17, 2006 3:38:53 PM

BTW, it seems they're changing the index picture every day or something, because there's a different one from the one Gabe posted right now. I figure Rob's having fun taking random pictures of wherever they're playing and plastering it up.

Posted by: Kim | Feb 17, 2006 3:47:49 PM

Quite obviously, Kim, Trent was having his morning coffee on the bus ride today, reading through the NINternet, when he loaded up today's WTC update.

Upon seeing how obviously Rob Sheridan had stolen my work, Trent threw a complete hysterical baby fit, stomped his feet, stuck his fingers in his ears and held his breath until Rob changed it.

I mean... isn't it just totally obvious?

Posted by: Gabriel | Feb 17, 2006 4:42:33 PM

Right-o, Gabe.

You know what I find amusing? Getting a $5,500 per year grant shoved in my face isn't something to be happy about, because $5,500 a year won't pay for a full year at Coker College. The only thing worth getting excited about is getting a full ride somewhere, or a partial scholarship to Francis Marion, because then the difference in tuition would be affordable.

This is according to my dad.

Posted by: Kim | Feb 17, 2006 5:05:05 PM

Well the newest one is obviously a picture taken from the bus.

Posted by: Rachel | Feb 17, 2006 5:09:27 PM

Thank you, Rachel.

Case closed. Gabriel 1, Maise 0.

Posted by: Gabriel | Feb 17, 2006 6:05:47 PM

Awww, look. They put up a nice picture of Alessandro on "Current." Obviously, this came about because I pleaded his case so effectively in my review.

Rumor-stealing from ETS time!

This one leaves me with the sense of "oh dear."

Two Chicago local radio stations durning there "Rock Report" have mentioned the return of Lollapalooza @ Grant Park in Chicago!!!August 4th thru the 6th.
Mentioned as possible acts for this year was NIN, Morrissey, DM, Tool ,the Beastie Boys, Ministry,Smashing Pumpkins and many more!!!
[sic]

I'm really, really, really worried that I will have reasons to actually go to this this year. I mean, no way would they get *all* of these acts, but even just a few...shit. Last year, this festival was ass-expensive, a Grant Park clusterfuck with temperatures normally found in Las Vegas, and chock full of blah indie/emo acts.

I'm not entirely sure if Trent alone could get me to deal with all the bs. I mean, I've seen our man twice this year, and I'm not a huge fan of concerts in Grant Park. The sound quality is for shit, and you always wind up on the grass about five miles away from the band, lying on a blanket and staring at the skyline, and only barely paying attention to the music. Actually, it's not that bad of a way to spend an afternoon...for free. But not for a ticket price with three digits. On the other hand, I would probably totally cave for Trent...who the fuck am I kidding?

Oh, and if they pulled off a Ministry/Tool combo, my husband would be going anyway, so you know, might as well...

But in all likelihood, this is the masturbatory fantasies of the Q101 DJs, and some shitty shit like Fall-Out Boy will wind up headlining.

Posted by: maise | Feb 18, 2006 12:58:55 AM

or rather, "these are the masturbatory fantasies"

have chose, whatever. It's late, and I have abused myself with bacchanalian carousing.

Big dilemma! I can still get tickets to a show in Kansas City tonight, have plenty of time to drive there, coughed up the $60 bucks for the spiral membership already for the show I went to in Des Moines....but I can't find anyone to go with me, don't really want to go by myself being a girl and all, would be blowing off a friend that's not into NIN that I'm supposed to be going to a movie with tonight, I just saw an amazing show two nights ago. (still trying to put all the pieces together for a post on that one), and my hearing is just starting to return to normal. What's a girl to do! Anyone here happen to be going to Kansas City?

Posted by: Iris | Feb 18, 2006 7:48:06 AM

Well, I would be, Iris, if I could afford a FLIGHT FROM PARIS.

*cries*

Posted by: Dierdre | Feb 18, 2006 8:52:18 AM

... I saw Trent last night in Lincoln. I was a virgin- and then trent owned my ass. I'm still in shock. i'd never been to nine inch nails concert ( don't ask- i have extremely protective older brothers)and some how at the end i ended up backstage (i'm still not sure how i got there). anyways. they stayed at the cornhusker mariott cause i saw le reznor gettin off the bus and about had a spaz attack trying to get out of the car. He wasn't very talkative but he looked HOTT in leather pants and a nice little muscle shirt that showed off his nicely buff arms- which i wasnt a big fan of until last night. anyways. he was amazing. i'm prolly be driving down to KC later today to see them again tonight.

as all of my friends said last night, "Trent Reznor is GOOODDDD!"

So did you guys see the new photo on "current"? 2/18...good lord!

My question is...is Aaron being suspended from wires or does he have a trampoline on stage?

Posted by: maise | Feb 18, 2006 7:15:43 PM

OMG I REMEMBER THAT! and no he's not being suspended on wires he freaking jumped that high. i think it was during march of the pigs- after the hand clapping stopped...

Posted by: Tori | Feb 18, 2006 9:29:34 PM

I think he jumped from poor Alessandro's keyboards. That man's gonna land wrong one day. Either right on his ass, or his knees, or his face.

Posted by: Kim | Feb 18, 2006 9:31:11 PM

They should totally use wires, like in the Van Halen "Panama" video. On the other hand, trampolines would be fun. Another fun alternative would be having him hang by his legs from a trapeze.

Dammit, I blocked out the memory of Trent trying to instigate clapping during MOTP. It was brief, but he totally did it.

Speaking of blocked-out memories...what inappropriate behavior did you witness during "Hurt"? IMO, Inappropriate Hurt Behavior includes, but is not limited to, the following:

--Making out with one's significant other
--Shouting something like "Fuck yeah!" during a quiet part
--Screaming in a shrill voice, "I love you, Trent!"
--Holding up glowing cell phones

I mean, what is with people? I can't even sing along to this song when it's played live.
