[hurt: schadenfreude]

The apartment continues to be a very strange place without my former friend here anymore, a refuge not of pithy retorts but of somber reflection:

now that we're done
and it's over
the fun
is all gone

all the fun is gone

and you can have it all
my empire of Chains
i will let you down
i'll hurt you... again

l'orangerie stank presents:

hurt (schadenfreude)

hurt (schadenfreude) [192kbs]

You know, Gabriel, I've been doing a lot of thinking -- I've had a lot of time to think, here in England, away from the fray -- you, know, about you and me, and about Wearing These Chains, and I just wanted to tell you that it's things like this BRILLIANT cover of "Hurt" that remind me how fond of you I really am.

I think that when you lashed out at me so violently a couple of weeks ago, it may have been at least to a small extent, deserved. We'd been losing track, for some time, of why we started WTC in the first place amidst all the bickering, and my constant needling about your sexual preferences.

I think it's time that, as your friend, I started supporting who you think you are, rather than pressing my insights on you so forcefully, and for having done that, my dear Gabriel, I'm sorry.

I love your cover of Hurt! Only you could have combined Trent Reznor's most plaintive moment with "Sweet Child O' Mine" and for that, I will always love you.

And only you, of all people, would know me well enough to hear those SCOM lyrics that I adore lurking in the mix. :-)

"Where do we go now", right D?

Thanks for what you said. Give me a call when you have a moment over there, okay? I want to hear your voice. Let's talk. :-)

Oh, gee whiz, you kids, *snif*...I always had hope for you. But I'm still keeping my candle lit in the window until you're reconciled. Dolce & Gabbana pieces have a new meaning for me after today's comments...oh yeah, your cover version rocked, Gabriel.

More catchy stuff from L'orangerie Stank with the usual touch of je ne sais quoi.
